The 33nd Zeta Alpha Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity Golf Outing was held on June 12-13, 2026 and was an outstanding success with over 61 Brothers participating! We were pleased to be able to move the outing back to the weekend before Fathers Day which has become a tradition for the outing.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
To insure we continue to host the outing weekend the weekend before Fathers Day, a contract with the Slippery Rock Golf and Events Center has been signed and the dates of June 11-12, 2027 for the 34th outing weekend has been set!
This was our second year hosting golf at the Slippery Rock Golf and Event Center. For the Brothers being close to SRU, Housing, the Chapter House and Golf Course made the weekend a great success and encouraged generational connections and the event continues to grow. Alumni got to not only renew old friendships, but also had the chance to spend quality time with recent graduate Alumni and undergraduate members growing the Theta Chi experience.
We will share descriptions and pictures from each of the events held over the weekend.
Getting started

Thank You Kelly Bailey!
Kelly Baily, who was busy organizing the SRU Alumni Weeked at the Rock still had time to visit with us at the outing, share her thoughts on the Chapter’s success an her appreciation of our efforts including the Memorial Brick disply at the Alumni House. In addition, she provided all attendees with a gift of an SRU luggage tag.

Congratulations to Chapter Vice President Brother Nate Waugaman for winning the Theta Chi Golf bag raffle helping us to raise $500 to support the chapter.

Congratulations to our new alumni Brother Michael Ho. He had the first hole-in-one during the outings so far at Slippery Rock Golf Club and events center. Officially we are going to have to title it as a “Michael Ho-in-one!” Because he was teeing off #4 and made the hole in one on #6!

There were 12 teams competing in this years outing with 48 players. Athe the awards ceremony we asked if the brother preferred making the awards from first to most honest place or most honest place be awarded first! Congratulations to all who participated, had fun and made new connections between the collegian and the alumni!
