From July 10-14th, Theta Chi Fraternity hosted its 42nd School of Fraternity Practices & 170th Anniversary Convention in San Antonio, Texas. Zeta Alpha was represented by Chapter President and member of Chapter Presidents Advisory Council Jacob Levy (Mu Class – Spring ‘24), as well as alumni brothers Kevin Krepinevich (Tau Class – Spring ‘73) and Caleb Hankee (Mu Class – Spring ‘24). Some of the highlights of our trip include meeting brothers throughout the United States and Canada, exchanging laughs and stories that have spanned generations of brotherhood, and being awarded the Howard R. Alter Jr. Award for Chapter Excellence for our second consecutive year in a row! It was such an incredible experience to be immersed in everything our fraternity stands for and would like every single collegiate, alumnus, grand chapter member, and everyone in between who came together to put this convention together and who came to celebrate our fraternity and brotherhood! ⚔️🐍

From packing 2,100 care packages in 23 minutes for the USO, welcoming a new class of Resolute Men, and hearing inspiring messages from keynote speakers 𝗛𝗼𝘆𝘁 𝗟𝘆𝗱𝗮 (Alpha Phi/Alabama 1997) and 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗸 on the dangers of gambling addiction, yesterday reminded us what it means to BELIEVE in something bigger than ourselves.

During the convention Chapter President Jake and Alumni Board President Kevin Krepinevich were able to make a special catchup with David Westol. David Westol is currently the Principal and Owner of Limberlost Consulting, Inc. in Carmel, Indiana, and former Chief Executive Officer of Theta Chi Fraternity. We had a chance to discuss the chapter’s charter being pulled, quarterly lunches he use to had with Brotherr Krepinevich during our absence from SRU and shared the successes the chapter has had since its return as a colony in 2017.

The Theta Chi Foundation is currently involved in a campaign titled “I Belive.”
“I believe in Theta Chi, its traditions and its ideals…”
Words that mean something to every Theta Chi. These words echo throughout the history of our Fraternity—not only as the beginning of The Creed, but of our shared commitment to believe in the real life-changing work our alumnus volunteers and International Headquarters staff are doing for today’s collegians, preparing them to be Resolute Men on their campuses and in their future communities.
The Foundation Chapter seeks to raise $22 million by 2028, to endow the Fraternity’s leadership education and training programs, alumni and chapter support initiatives, and the Museum, Archives, and History Program, to provide long-term stability for the Fraternity’s future generations of Resolute Men.
At the convention they were able to announce that over $15,000,000 in pledges have already been obtained from brothers to reach the goal. It is now time for the final 7 million to appear before the convention in 2028.
